Plot: A hatcheck man at a nightclub finds himself drawn to the star singer - who in turn is attracted to a poor dancer, but really wants to marry for money. When the hatcheck man finds himself the winner of the Irish lottery - suddenly the singer is attracted to him - or at least his money. An accident leaves him with a bump on his head - and suddenly he thinks he is King Louis XV, after the infamous Madame Du Barry. -- Chris Kavan

Silly but fun musical-comedy. The main three leads are clearly enjoying themselves. Lucille Ball looks like dynamite. The dream sequences crossing Hollywood style with Georgian fashion look beautiful. In fact the technicolor and all the costumes look fantastic.
