Intertwined with Paul Giamatti's transformative performance, John Adams portrays an interesting perspective on the birth of the United States. The tensions and challenges Washington, Adams, and Jefferson all faced in shaping the nation are brought to live through a host of emotional performances. Giamatti is the true star, but Laura Linney, David Morse, and Rufus Sewell all standout.

John Adams is a interesting and beautiful looking history based miniseries. I liked its use of facts for the most part. It had very little inaccuracy which usually is not common with dramatizations. The acting is well done for the most part my only problems with it was I do not think Paul Giamatti was the best choice but he seems better as it goes through the episodes. I would recommend it to anyone interested in the founding fathers, and History.

Part 5 is his vice-presidency, 6 his presidency, and 7 his later years as he patches up a relationship with Thomas Jefferson.

Beautifully shot and great casting, especially Giamatti and Linney as the Adams. If you watch on DVD I recommend watching with the historical feature on, which provides information via pop-ups. It's a …
