Let me just start by saying: wow wow wow! What an amazing movie! The stepping is off the hook, very creative and new. This movie has set the standard for many more to come and it is going to be hard to beat this. The acting is good, the stepping is fabulous and the plot is best of all. It has got amazing dance scenes, funny scenes and also tragic scenes which keeps it real. It's not a sad movie, but let me warn you: it drove me to tears. I still do not know if it was the tragic scenes or the sheer madness caused by the gripping dance routines. All I can say is if you like dancing at all this is a movie you have got to see!!

I will say that I was shocked. This movie turned about to be a lot better than I thought it would. I assumed that it would be like most dancing flicks. A lot of terrible acting, ridiculous plot, but saved by the amazing footwork. This movie, however, actually wasn't that horrible. I mean, it was typical, but it came from a good place. You can see that they TRIED to do this a little differently. Instead of trying to make this girl "EXTREME DANCER IN HER HOOD" she actually had a good purpose for wanting to dance. The acting gets 6 from me too on a scale from 1 to 10. I thought it was going to be painful to watch these dancers "speak lines" but they actually were pretty decent. I'm not mad it this movie for exisiting.
