Plot: Tokyo, 1888, Kikunosuke Onoue is the adopted son of a famous actor who learns that all his praise is due to his father and that behind his back no one takes him seriously. His only true friend is Otoku, a wet-nurse, but the relationship is frowned upon and she is fired. But Kikunosuke follows her despite the scandal.
