Gripping film noir about an undercover cop trying to smash a human smuggling ring near the Mexican border. Ricardo Montalban is great as the lead. Familiar character actors Howard de Silva and Charles McGraw make a fearsome pair of villains.

In addition to hitting just as hard during the Trump-era as it did 70 years ago, this undercover cop procedural has one of the most intense last 30 minutes of any film I've seen.
