Remove the camp factor and it’s just a dirt cheap B-movie. The lead actress is pretty. The special effects work for her growing huge is terrible.

This film is better than it's rating suggest. It has a lot to do with gender roles in film and society as a whole. Most films of this era were made by men, for men. And, this was also the early stages of the women's lib. movement. The film depicts a woman fighting for what she believes in, yes the effects are corny, but it's also 1958, not 2008.

"Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman" is a truly awful movie. The film clocks in at 66 minutes, but it felt like it took three hours to get through it.

As a result of her encounter with the alien, the wife grows into a giant herself. We finally see the 50 foot woman in the last 10 minutes of the movie when she goes on a rampage to seek revenge on her husband and his lover.
