Yet another bodyswap film in which a so-called comic actor thinks lolloping around with a vacant stare and saying "dude" a lot is acting, and it has exactly the same plot as all the others. As they say is Texas, "Big" is better.

Ah the 80s, a time when the height of comedy was mysteriously switching bodies between the young and old (or older) and watching what wacky trouble the two could get into. Still, Judge Reinhold has to pay the bills. Fun, nothing special.

I remember when this movie hit the theatres. It was at the time when Judge Reinhold was still getting acting jobs having just come off success from the first 2 "Beverly Hills Cop" movies, as well as his part in "Ruthless People", he was pretty well known in comedies. Fred Savage was riding his success from the show The Wonder Years and the hit film "The Princess Bride" the combination was decent for a family comedy.
Vice Versa was a pretty common film for the most part, it had some laughs. The movie doesn't really hold up as well as it did when it came out as both lead characters have fallen so far out of the spotlight that the most recent generation probably wouldn't know who either of them were. But if you need a film to keep kids entertained for a night this isn't a bad way to go.
