Fun family movie. I'm not a dog person. But I think I can be if given the chance. After watching this film, I'm convinced more than ever that keeping a dog, or any pet would be a nice way to instill responsibility in kids. Skip taught WILLIE MORRIS (FRANKIE MUNIZ) a thing or two about life that will stay with him forever. It's really amazing how a dog like skip could be trained to act so well in a movie production like this.

Surprisingly I really enjoyed this movie. I can relate to the story, not quite like the main character, but still. Anyone who has ever loved a pet should really get into this and feel for it. The film had just enough childish cheesiness to where it didn't go too far. I liked it.
