I liked this film, but didn't love it. Clooney, Wilkinson and Swinton are great and the story is interesting, but it moves rather sluggishly for me. I understand this is more about words than action, but it never grabbed my attention.

I found this movie to be not complex interesting in any way. Most have said that it so intricate, but it is not its simple. Evil corporation that is not fully fleshed out does not do what it should. One of its lawyers cries out in the most interesting part of the movie due to Tom Wilkinson's performance. Others wise its just boring scene after boring scene unless Tom Wilkinson is in it, which becomes a real problem later in the film.

There are far too many inconsistencies during the course of a two hour talking marathon. It’s still a big mystery to me why Clooney is nominated for his performance,I didn't feel he did anything new. Half of the things that happen in this movie I don't get. What weird way to fast forward and then rewind again and then fast forward all over again, that is pretty much the way the story was told. I think I have to watched it about five more times to finally get what the whole movie's about. The only thing clear that stuck to me was the ending, the past hour and a half was just downright nonsense.

An underrated film from the past year that people only now have begun to discover. Clooney is magnificent as the title character is is Tom Wilkinson in a great supporting role.

Michael Clayton... LONG MOVIE... didn't really understand where it was going till the end. I guess you can say that that's a decent movie since it drags you in till the end, but I at least like to have hints (obvious ones when its that late at night) so that I can follow it a little better. George Clooney- decent performance- believable.

Michael Clayton is a good is so many ways but it is just too dull to keep my attention. The acting is great, the directing is good and the story is interesting. But for all of these things there just wasn't enough going on to keep things moving. What was only a two hour movie felt more like 3. I think you really have to be in the mood to watch a movie like this and unfortunately I am not in that mindset too often. I think this is a solid movie rental but I wouldn't bother with it in the theatre because of this.
