Review - The Lord of the Rings (2001-2003)

Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood) was just a simple hobbit living in Middle Earth when Gandalf (Ian McKellen) sent him on a mission to destroy his uncle's Ring of Power. His adventure is chronicled in the three part epic, "The Lord of the Rings."

I'm sorry to anybody that thinks of the series as three movies, because I don't. They were all filmed together and even the original books were intended as one straight story. The fact is people don't want to sit through a ten hour movie, so that's that.

Anyway, "The Lord of the Rings" is one of the greatest stories ever told, and I don't mean that just as the story itself, but it is told on a bigger scale than anything else. It all takes place in a huge world filled with a number of different creatures and characters and thus can be called …

The perfect trilogy part II

The second in the Trilogy, The Two Towers, is a masterpiece in the Adventure Fantasy category. Starting where the Fellowship left off, Frodo and Sam are on their own now, and being followed relentlessly by Golum. The rest of the now disbanded fellowship is moving their way to help amass more warriors for their cause and to find aid in preparing to move towards Mordor.
The darkest of the 3 movies this sequel is one of the most incredible combinations of action, adventure, and fantasy. You can't help be get nervous a number of times through out the movie. Andy Sirkus as Golum was amazing, while people know that he did the voice acting for the character many people don't realize that he had to do some amazing physical acting as well.
