An underrated musical that combines the spectacle of big-scale musical numbers with a very real and socially-conscious drama about the integration of Asian culture into America. Fun and thought-provoking at the same time.

Flower Drum Song has a great story with lots of drama. The musical numbers are great in the big production form of musical numbers. A really well done musical that is really one of my favorites. Its nice that the cast is actually played by Asian people rather than white people pretending to be Asian.
