Harrison Ford plays Jack Stainfeild, securita manager on a big IT- company. One day his family is taken to hostage. He has to break into the system that he has created himself, and take out the money. In the end of the movie, he tricks the robbers, and take their money instead. Jack gets to know where they are holding his family, and he gets off to rescue them with the help of his secretary. A very good movie, with a lot of action and that special little twist.

Firewall is the type of action thriller that I'm not to fond of. It starts off good and actually keeps your interest, until it saves all of the action for the last ten minutes. Harrison Ford is an actor i like a lot but i'm getting tired of seeing him typecast as the successful guy who has to save somebody or something. He does a good here, but not even his charisma, is enough to carry this film. We are left with plot-hole after plot-hole and not enough action to keep me satisfied. Virginia Madsen was good as well but Paul Bettany didn't convince me because he gave such a simple performance. Mary Lynn Rajskub(better known as Chloe on 24) is a breath of fresh air in this film.

A standard, but skillfully-deployed thriller with most of the cliches working at full force; that said, it's nothing fresh, but utterly entertaining and Harrison Ford is always worth watching. Final Grade: B-

Though there are a few plot holes the movie has it's moments of great action scenes. Unfortunately the ending is way to abrupt. Still worth renting
