I really enjoyed this movie. It says a lot about Victorian era culture.

A woman disguised and absorbed manhood to find independence. She worked at a hotel where she meets people, a lesbian, a beautiful young woman, and her rival. As she strives to reach her dreams, she has to figure herself out. *** Nothing really special about this movie except Glenn Close. Good to see Aaron Johnson portraying his role. Story wise, it fell short to give drama. Characters are not strong, their backgrounds are too shallow. There were numerous off scenes, I could pin-point the good ones. Almost bad but generally watchable.
