Vic & Danny kidnap Alice for money. A few twists and only one actor remains in the end. Only three actors in the whole film and all did well. With so many kidnap films I expected more or less the usual, but this one is centered on the three characters and nothing more. Refreshing.

While there were good point to the movie - I just felt there was something missing - it felt like a half-finished film to me. Performances are for the most part adequate, but the sparse story leaves a bit to be desired.

"The Disappearance of Alice Creed" is a kidnapping movie features only three actors. A simple kidnap plan turned out to be a conflict of what they want the most. Story wise, it is good. Looks so simple but I really do appreciate how little details were used. I just can't grasp the gay thing. And I wasn't able to really understand Danny's character. I'm satisfied on Eddie Marsan's and Gemma Arterton's acting, not Martin Compston. Neat kidnapping drama. Lots of surprising scenes, i mean, twists. For me, it seems a work of an amateur, AN EXCELLENT AMATEUR.

One of the best kidnapping movies I've seen. The entire film is just the two kidnappers and the woman in one place and it manages to be as tense and thrilling as any other film of it's kind.
