A Vile Film

A rancid film. Showing the weakest of the weak being abused! There's no need to intellectualize and go further than that, to understand that this is TRASH. Oh yes, it can be philosophically interesting. When Vukmir is speaking about flesh and soul of a victim being transmitted live to the world who has lost all that. To a world who has lost its humanity, it certainly means that! Yes, it seems quite clearly, the film recognize the viewers as monsters! Think about it! So there's that interesting aspect of the movie. We should question our humanity when we are pushed to see such a circus! One click on the internet, and we are here, being presented with the most miserable videos in the world, but really, aren't we guilty too for wanting to watch such things?

Spielberg Missed This Script

I have seen most if not all of the "most disturbing films ever made" that populate numerous lists on the web. Caligula, Irreversible, Salo, Cannibal Holocaust, Titticut Follies, August Underground, Baise-Moi, Martyrs, Gigli, et cetera et cetera. A Serbian Film in my opinion can never be topped in way of pure repulsion. It left me slack jawed the first 5 times I watched it. Talk about pushing art to the edge of reason. It contains just about every taboo known to common man. Rape, necrophilia, pedophilia, incest dominate the landscape in this perfect film. Many people claim it is a political or social commentary. I view it for the sick, twisted, humanity depraved piece of work it is. Like Salo or August Underground, this film must be viewed at least once in any cinephiles life.
