I watched the TV show version of this before I saw the movie and loved it. I cannot say the same about the movie. It is not funny and the acting is really bad. I could not wait until Paul Rubins character died in this movie, because his slow death was getting on my nerves! The only reason I have it half a star is because there is nothing lower!

The only reason I give this movie two stars is because it spawned the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer which is a great show. The movei not that good but if gets you to watch the TV show it is worth it.

Before becoming a cult TV hit, Buffy the Vampire Slayer was a solidly mediocre horror/comedy. It has the camp value of a B-movie, but an A-list cast. It's fun, but if I want to watch Buffy, I think I'll stick with the TV version.
