The characters are so complex, but understandable. Although it's a likable movie, it's not totally enjoyable.

i dont know what to say. just one word. WTH! i cant remember another movie worse than this movie. omg its like you wasting your time if you watched this. this movie should get the oscar for the worst movie ever. first i bought it cause i see ben stiller who usually plays good movie. but i dont know and i dont have any idea why he play this movie . very dissapointed for a fan of him. :(

It's rare that I don't finish a movie that I start watching, but I made an exception here. Credit goes to Ben Stiller for stepping out of his comfort zone and changing his roles up a bit (though the role is just a reiteration of his angry persona). After about an hour I realized that I wasn't invested in the characters or story so I turned it off. This movie just couldn't grab and keep my attention.

It was fun. However, at the end of the film I realized it wasn't as great as The Squid and the Whale and the dialog wasn't as snappy as Margot at the Wedding. Greta Gerwig isn't the bright new young discovery I thought she'd be. She left me kind of cold. However, Ben Stiller was really funny. It is kind of pathetic to see middle-aged men act like that. Still, it was moderately enjoyable.
