It is a lot like Liar Liar!

Jim Carrey plays a divorced 40-something bank loan officer Carl who feels trapped in the same dead end job while pining over his ex-wife Stephanie (Molly Sims). He says no to everything including life itself. Until a friend drags him to a seminar run by a self help guru who preaches the power of saying Yes! While reluctant at first, this extreme mantra sets off a positive chain of events, including meeting the beautiful free spirit musician/photographer Allison, getting a promotion at work, and reuniting with his friends. Jim is supported by an eclectic cast, including the stunning Zooey Deschanel, the delightful Kiwi, the handsome Bradley Cooper and Terence Stamp. Slightly underrated, Yes Man, is just another bump in Jim Carrey's road of hilariousity. Carrey portrays a person who could easily be considerd a "no man" (a phrase not uterd, but screamed far too many times in this film) who attends a convention to become more of a "yes man." He changes his life by saying yes to every question he get's asked, including learning to speak Korean, throwing his best friends', fiance's bachelorette party, and attending his boss' "dress up as your favorite Harry Potter character" costume party. Along his journey to become more likeable, he meets and falls in love with the lead singer of an obviousally quirky band, amazingly played by Zooey Deschanel, (which by the way, may be best part of the film.)
The movie has its highs and lows, unfortuneatly for us …

Yes, Jim's certainly back. Though I'm sort of surprised with the way he delivered his slapstick antics here. It seemed he lost his touch making people laugh over the years or making me laugh for that matter. Some of his jokes are getting pretty old and he's slowly getting there too. If you’re expecting the Jim’s Ace Ventura or his Liar Liar character here you will be disappointed. But then if you just want to see something to feel good about then you’ll be definitely be rewarded. It’s quite marvelous to see how people are changed with one word. And Jim’s missing funny bone is almost unnoticeable with all the good things happening in the movie. I know he’s trying so hard to be the funny man that he used to be and I got to give him props for it. He did have his moments. And …
