Revenge is a Dish Best Served Loud and Flashy

Pretty much what I was expecting - the sequel to Transformers brings you all the action you could ever want (perhaps a little too much) throws in enough humor to keep things light and tries to add at least a little drama - but not too much - to give you some emotional connection.

Still, this is a movie all about keeping your eyes and ears in summer mode - lots of fighting robots, chases, shooting, explosions and, for the guys, Megan Fox looking just right. Those expecting an engrossing story will be seriously underwhelmed as the whole Fallen/energon storyline is pretty weak, as is the government vs. giant alien robots.

The movie moves along at a fairy good clip, but by the end I was getting tired of the the umpteenth robot melee. I'm pretty sure they could cut about 40 minutes out …

Lose a Little Plot, Add Eye Candy!

Transformers (2007) was a major summer blockbuster hit. Not only did the CGI visuals and effects blow everyone away, but helped rekindle the flame of a lost classic series. I've always been I fan of the Transformers, I have. I remember even when I was younger I was amazed by the television series, and loved it very much. Transformers (2007) really best fitted what I'd call an homage.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is hyped as if were about to experience a Michael Bay sci-fi masterpiece, opposite to Nolan's newly birthed and critically acclaimed Batman series. Revenge of the Fallen is an average sci-fi sequel that contains loads of metal-clashing action, but little logical plot. This movie can be easily brought to a verdict. Is it a compliment? Or is it a vague insult? …

Predictable Eye Candy Entertainment

Not nearly as good as the first Transformers movie. I did enjoy it though. The plot doesn't really exist (maybe that is what some people want) and there is no true mystery as to what is going on or what is going to happen. The action is pure eye candy in more ways than one.

Action is top quality, though it does go on for a while - probably a bit too long. Michael Bay tries to ramp up the drama, even though it doesn't exist. Unlike the first movie, the suspense isn't really there. The special effects are great and they do a good job of hiding some of the transitions of the robots. I was disappointed in the overall ability of "The Fallen." But, it was still addicting has heck to watch.

The biggest complaint is not the acting or the direction it is the amount of mindless, non …

Well, I didn't expect this movie to be good. I was wrong. It was definitely a good movie. There was A LOT of action which at some points made for some headache moments (that could very well be due to IMAX) and some real cheesy stuff going on between Sam and Makayla that was just a little stomach turning. However, I liked how they didn't really let relationship get in the way of the action-packed adventure. Also, this movie has a lot more humor than the first one. I definitely spent a good amount of time laughing. The mother was just ridiculous. I loved it. Aside from that, this will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. It had the quite predictable "this isn't over" ending. I can't imagine what more they can do with this movie. There's only so much fighting metal one can take. …
