'Stage Fright' is one of Hitchcock's middle-of-the-road films. But it's entertaining to watch. This is thanks to Marlene Dietrich and Jane Wyman.

Although I found the whole "vengeful actress" plot to be a little overdone, the film is truly anchored by Marlene Dietrich's menacing and commanding performance. She manages to strike a sympathetic chord, despite playing a chilling and coldblooded character.
