Point Blank review

One of a few popular crime flicks of its genre. The beginning just a slow-burner that tends to move around. Lacks character development, an adequate soundtrack and realism to it. The man falling off the building just tops the cake since it felt cartoonish. The interrogation and action sequences were nice but for its genre, it felt unsatisfying. Background support was not convincing though there were instances that you were waiting for something to happen from the protagonist. It had some positive aspects such as the acting of Marvin, direction and plot. Conclusion didn't make much an impact and makes you feel cheated after viewing the entire movie. Point Blank was impressive for its time, unfortunately this doesn't hold-up and entertainment-wise for this reviewer.

Alongside an iconic Marvin stars John Vernon who sets out his stall and makes this the starting point to his career of playing every douchebag in the 1970s and Angie Dickinson who is the epitome of swinging 60s glamour. The one criticism I would have to make is the fact that its roots in contemporary culture has dated it a little, particularly the occasionally dreadful soundtrack and the unnecessary romantic scenes. …
