There's a lot of film history caught up in this first documentary, but it is also very slow-moving and often vague.

This is the film that most people believe is the first ever documentary. Director Robert Flaherty follows Nanook and his family around for 1 year, capturing the events on film. It's solid, but not great by any means. A must see for true film buffs.
