For many years, even in my childhood when Blockbuster was still in business, every time I flipped through DVD leaflets and catalogs, I would see this movie advertised. I recognized it as a horror film, yet I was unaware of its plot. Now, after finally viewing it, I regrettably find it disappointing. The poster captivates more attention than the film itself. It lacks both scares and eeriness; instead, it is painfully dull.

I like the idea behind the film more than the execution. In the end, it turns out to be another in the long line of average horror films I have seen. Watch it once, but it doesn't deserve much more consideration.

I am getting a bit too good at spotting significant camera angles so some of the surprises weren't surprising! It was an intelligent horror film with a strong idea to explore. The ending wasn't thoroughly satisfying but it was an entertaining divertissment nonetheless.
