The blend of holiday cheer and Halloween fear is great fun. But a lot of the cool stuff only happens in the last thirty minutes. Demonic gingerbread, child eating clowns, and creepy little elves torment an already dysfunctional family on Christmas. All that is a blast to watch. And the cast is not bad either. They know what kind of movie they're in. But it felt like a while before you saw *that* movie.
