Uneven cop thriller that’s more like a romantic drama than an action movie. Tom Berenger and Mimi Rogers both fall in love really because there wouldn’t be a movie otherwise.
But Lorraine Bracco is a refreshing foil to the familiar setup as Berenger’s brassy no-nonsense wife. It’s got a fairly suspenseful climax though and since it’s directed by Ridley Scott, the movie looks great.
This is not a bad movie but I can see why it’s not mentioned that often. For a Ridley Scott film, it’s pretty straightforward and doesn’t shake things up very much.
