As far as these DTV schlocky action movies go, this was perfectly...tolerable. It's not good but it's better than I anticipated. Once a friggin tiger shows up, the movie picks up the slack.
Mel Gibson is pretty good as a grumpy retired cop. He has a nice rapport with a rookie (Cayo). Failed leading man Emile Hirsch is not very good here, but Kate Bosworth is not bad.
The action is surprisingly not terribly shot for this kind of movie. The movie comes and goes at ninety minutes.
