Hybrid of western, samurai, and post-apocalyptic horror that is never quite as much fun as it should be.
Nicolas Cage is mainly stoic instead of manic. Bill Moseley does camp it up. Supporting actor Tak Sakaguchi is actually not bad. There’s nowhere as much action as you hope there is.
It’s certainly not the wildest movie that Nicolas Cage has ever made. It has its weird moments but it’s not entertaining enough.
