A former high school athlete (Affleck) is given a chance to redeem himself by coaching a basketball team. He is suffering from alcoholism and is haunted by a past traumatic event. He rankles the school administrators with his attitude and the players with his unorthodox methods. You can pretty much guess how this movie is gonna go, can't you? So could I.
Ben Affleck is doing a really good job, I'll give him that. One may almost see it has him fighting off his past mistakes since he divorced Jennifer Garner. But maybe I'm putting too much effort into the "symbolism" in the script.
