The Truth About Charlie

It's hard to believe that the same director who helmed the back-to-back hits The Silence of the Lambs and Philadelphia did this movie. The editing and direction is awful. So much shaky-cam and weird closeups and sometimes they're at the same time! With Dutch angles on top of it! On paper this probably sounded fine if another unnecessary remake. Apparently they were able to get this movie off the ground because the original movie Charade (1963) accidentally entered the public domain. The sad part is, Mark Wahlberg and Thandie Newton are trying their best. In fact, I'm certain that Newton is trying an Audrey Hepburn impression with her accent.
