Blaze (1989)

A humorous take on the typically stodgy and stiff biographical genre, BLAZE is told from the perspectives of two unique historical figures. First is the title character Blaze Starr (Davidovich) as the alluring and sultry stripper and her paramour, the eccentric and outspoken Louisiana governor Earl Long (Newman). Davidovich is incredibly sexy and charming as the talented yet streetwise Blaze. Paul Newman gives one of his best and most hilarious performances as Governor Long who may or may not be actually insane.
