Alright, I have watched this movie several times now. Two friends of mine, good friends mind you, have told me to watch it for two different reasons: 1.] to see how amazing this movie is, and 2.] to see how horrible this movie is. And I have to be honest, I'm right in the middle. Jamie Bell and Ralph Fiennes are incredible, but the story didn't astound me the way I was told it would, and neither did it disappoint me in the ways that I was told it would. So, what is a guy to do: sit in the middle and appreciate the movie for what it is as well as criticize what was wrong. The writing was really off, but the performances were sub-par for half the cast. Amazing ideas, yes not the most effective production of them.
