'Kon-Tiki' is reminiscent of those older adventure films. It manages to feel like a product of the time in which the story takes place. There's not much surprise, in terms of storytelling, but the action is exciting. It'd be hard to not be entertained by the thrills presented. It looks quite beautiful and contains great visual f/x. Some decent acting helps to look past the lack of character involved.
