How good is Spider-Man 3?

-------Warning-----Spoilers--------

After liking the first one and being disappointed with the second, I feel that this is the best Spider-Man to date. Keep in mind, it has its flaws, clich?s, and non-sense, but, it is a comic book movie after all.

I have been hearing people continuously complain that there is way too much going on and that it is way too long. While I agree that it is too long for most children (and my wife included) to have to sit through, I disagree that there is way too much going on. This is a the way that this movie should be, full of plots, action, and mindless eye candy. Not enough going on and too slow are ways I would describe the second film.

Having three major kick ass villains in a single movie is something I look forward too. I know they tried it in Batman and it failed, but here it works well. Since Parker is a real character and has real feelings (he is only in college after all) he tends to take on the creatures with a real heart.

The sandman is one cool character. He is not really a bad guy, only a guy that is continuously been at the wrong place at the wrong time - he just wants to help his daughter. While Haden Church only has a few lines, he does an admiral job being the beefed up jail bird. Topher Grace as the cocky cool dude photographer is also great - even as Venom. Of course, Franco as the Green Goblin II or whatever is great - and finally back to being a friend.

Which brings me to the team up. Spoilers ----> Having Spider-Man finally have someone on his side is a great thing to see for once. With the character development in the first two and in this one, you can actually feel for the pair, know where they are coming from; they have hearts. This makes me giddy with the anticipation of a Batman/Superman movie. Heroes saving heroes. Yeah the X-Men did it, but they did it because they had to. Besides, half of them don't even like each other.

To conclude, this one is the most balanced Spiderman movie to date. Bad things happen, good things happen and it all comes together in the end nicely. I was never bored and the dialog did not drag on at times like it did in the previous two films. This is not to say that I could be bored to death upon a second viewing? See it with patience and an open mind.
