I have no idea why either. I also spend way too much time with ratings. Maybe I'll just keep this as an archive if ymdb2 or shompy ever die.

Yes i understand your point Jake. But what is the value in Shompy or Deux or TLC? To me those have little if any value. If there are people i can't stand constantly spamming there and insulting others, why shouldn't i try more friendly alternatives? Plus with newer sites you always have to give them time and opportunity. You never know into what they can eventually develop in term of membership or substance. My philosophy is very simple. Those are rather silly questions :P Why would i be afraid? It's not like i wasn't on YMDB, Deux, Criterion Forum or countless others. Didn't you get my point about the assholes? I seriously avoid forums and sites polluted by such types like the plague. Oops missing part in previous post: I don't mind if most of the others have more mainstream lists or mostly with the most talked about movies, as long as the members are people you can discuss with in a civilized and friendly manner :)
