Mark Hunter (Slater) creates an underground radio station to appease music lovers. He introduces himself as "Hard Harry" or "Happy Harry Hard-on" and gives advise to those who need it since suicide has been rampant. Nora Diniro (Mathis) discovers Mark's secret. Could have been way better if the romance and conclusion were well executed. Its premise similar to Heathers, but only falls with some aspects. Pump Up The Volume is a decent flick for music lovers, wanna be or are DJ's and those who enjoy being "the voice" of a generation.

I don't know why, but this is my favorite movie of all time. It might have to do with me wanting to be a radio DJ or just the start of me buying soundtracks and introducing me to Leonard Cohen. The premise of the whole movie kicks ass. Happy Harry Hard On should have been put on my school walls.
