Plot: Paul Newman plays 'Sully' Sullivan, a 60 year-old construction worker with a bum knee, a bitter ex-wife and an estranged son in this slice-of-life comedy-drama from Robert Benton. When his son separates from his own wife and moves back to town with Sully's grandson in tow, he realizes how little he has accomplished in his life. Sully must also contend with the husband and wife owners of the construction company, his landlord's banker son who would love to see him evicted and other assorted characters that populate his small town.
