Slow moving but pretty looking western. Robert Redford is good as the stoic mountain man.

I enjoyed the beginning tale of a man venturing into the wild to find himself, then finding a family. And the nature is truly gorgeous. But then he starts killing off the Crow Nation. How heroic. Why was this movie made? Who said, "This guy eats the livers of Native Americans! Let's make a movie about him!"
