A bit strange and the ending is bittersweet. But the acting is good and when the emotional beats land, it's quite moving.

It's no "Sullivan's Travels," but "Jay Kelly" provides a mostly earnest portrait of a man's reflection on self-worth amongst fame, while showcasing the acting talents of both Clooney and Sandler in the process.
