Netflix jumps into the vampire genre with this action-comedy that benefits from some pretty great action scenes and Jamie Foxx as the wisecracking protagonist. It suffers from the same problems as other Netflix action movies, like with the CGI being unpolished and the lighting being too bright. But it still manages to be a fun vampire movie.

Despite my love of horror movies, I usually don't care for vampire movies. Day Shift is different because of it's comedic approach, the insane fight scenes, Snoop Dog, and Jamie Foxx's awesome Hawaiian shirts. I might give this movie an extra half-star if it didn't suffer from a severe case of orange-teal diarrhea.
