The first in a long line of straight-to-video releases that came about after a resurgence in popularity of the talking dog and his mystery team. This adventure holds true to the original series, but there's an added twist here. The 'monster' (in this case zombies) is real this time and not 'old man cracker' in a rubber mask. This is a fun, well produced animated feature that will play to younger viewers, older viewers, fans of the show, and non-fans. It's a surprisingly efficient slow-burn horror mystery that plays strong to both of those identities, while not forgetting that there is a kid audience as well.
