Plot: “She may not need a husband, but Chrysaint needs a king.”- Elisha.
When D’arc gives the Chieftain’s daughter, Cagin, an amulet forever binding their souls together, his forbidden heritage is discovered, and he is exiled. With the unexpected death of the king, and the arrival of the esteemed Elisha upon her, Cagin must marry the new Chrysaintian King whoever he may be. Cagin must look to her unfailing faith for the sake of her crown and people. Which leads those around her to wonder- can her broken heart save a falling kingdom?
