Attending to her baby sister's wedding in Rome, Beth (Kristen Bell) picks up coins from a magical fountain which said to bring love to those who toss coins to it, and on her case, she becomes the target of these love -seekers. When she comes back to New York, men insanely follow her, offering their love to her, including Nick (Josh Duhamel). *** I did not like the plot because it was insanely horrible storyline to begin with. But I like the flow of events and close to obvious twist. I do not like both actors, the two leads, but their fun characterization pulled it. This film can never be good enough, but at least had that power to entertain.

I just have to say that I don't think that I've seen a movie with worse pacing. This could have been a lot better, although not great, if more time would have been spent on developing an actual love story.

like this movie , the story was great and romantic . and the best part is the setting of the movie...... i always wanna go to rome, its reall awesome that you can see the place around rome that very ancient and romanticc... love this movie and love rome too. hope there will be another movie like this........ rome rome rome rome rome rome rome rome rome

“When In Rome” is the typical chick flick, which means that most guys would rather poke their eyes out than see it. It is not the worlds best movie, but there is something fun, funny and very cute about it. Beth (Kristen Bell) has always had bad luck in love and life and it only gets worse when she has to make a flash trip to Rome for her sister, Joan’s (Alexis Dziena) wedding. Down and drunk, Beth takes a venture into the Fountain of Love and instead of throwing a coin into the fountain to wish for love as most people do, she decides to take 5 coins. It is only when she gets home and starts getting strange mans following her around professing their love for her, she finds out that if you take someone else’s coins, they will fall in love with you. I'm gonna attempt to talk about this movie without listing everything I hated about it. The reason being I would get carpal tunnel from typing millions of words.
The first thing that peeved me was the fact that 2/3 of the film takes place in New York. Silly me to expect a film entitled When in Rome to be mostly in Rome. You know how much of Roman Holiday took place in Rome? All of it!!!
The plot has more holes than all the Swiss cheese in Switzerland!!!
There were, I will admit, a couple of slightly funny scenes, mostly of Mr. Duhamel being a klutz.
I love Angelica Huston, but this was beneath her. I realize she was in Ice Pirates, but that movie was at least funny.
Another thing that annoyed me, the fountain is made up. There is no fontana d'amore. You can tell this cause there is …
