A tabloid investigative journalist (Naomi Watts) and an elevator mechanic (James Marshall) seek to get to the bottom of what's causing the deaths, as officials try to play down the incidents and the government investigates them as terrorist attacks.
The duo eventually discover that the elevators indeed have a life of their own.

Hey there drudgees! Boy howdy, the Shaft is soooooo bad it's more of a project showing how a bat-smoochie should not make a horror film. While "the Shaft" could refer to anything from a penis to that African-American badass, alas drudgees no- the killer is actually an elevator shaft that comes to life after being struck by lightning. Bad, bad, blah! But when the director's name is "Dick Maas" (Me believes that basically translates to "Dick More!" in spanish) you know you're in trouble!
