The Relic is a fun and suspenseful creature feature that combines the best of Alien and Jurassic Park to the gory proceedings. The monster responsible for the body count remains an impressive creation thanks to the practical effects and CGI work.

Reasonably well shot, reasonably well acted and with reasonable effects but it's all been done so much better already. A decent enough creature feature that's worth watching if you've already seen Alien and Predator one too many times.

This is a run-of-the-mill science gone bad horror/thriller. You know - "don't mess with nature" kind of thing with a monster, some killings, etc. etc. Nothing new to see here, so go out and find something more appealing.
