In between Orlando Bloom launching unfunny quips about the differences between Americans and Africans (like using breath mints) everyone just stands around looking like they're constipated. Someone eventually builds a giant cage with a goat inside as bait to catch a giant crocodile that's eating children, but you'll only see the beast once, and it's terribly bad CGI. Throw this one in the dumps.

This is my favorite film with a killer crocadile. By far. For one, this monster is real and was never found dead. That sends a chill up my spine just thinking that this reptile could be out lurking in the waters of Africa right now. Stalking down it's next kill. The only thing I would have changed about the film would have been some of the cgi work. The scene where Gustav was running through the feild looked hella fake, but this is still a worthy film and deserves to be viewed.

Primeval is another film that's barely about what it claims to be, therefor making it disappointing. The claims to be about a killer crocodile in Africa, yet most of the time the cast is running away from gunmen. The Croc is shown for probably about 10 minutes of the entire 94 minutes. Then the ending is a complete let down. The cast is good but this film is lazy on everything, including direction, writing and scares, although the CGI croc is impressive. Not worth your time.

Surprisingly enough I enjoyed this movie! I really liked Orlando Jone's character. He played the camera man. I found him really funny. I probably won't watch this one again but it kept me engaged.

I didn't expect to like this movie, but I really did. Sure the idea is a bit preposterous and the croc was clearly on some radioactive drugs that made it faster and smarter than any other, but it was fun to watch. There was a sub-plot of the civil war that was taking place in Burundi and this sub plot was actually pretty decent. It also gave the movie a bit more depth than a movie like Anaconda. If you like movies like Anaconda or Deep Blue Sea then this movie is your kind of film. I think the plot of this movie is a bit better than those two, the acting was okay and the action sequences were on par. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised.

A bad monster-of-the-week type film that would be fun in campy if they hadn't tried to throw in some African genocide side-story to go along with it. Tries to take itself way too seriously and falls flat.
