'Night of the Comet' is not always as funny as it wants to be. Though it certainly is a unique entry in the zombie apocalypse genre. It's an '80s teen movie, a paranoid 'government conspiracy' thriller, and a body horror movie all at the same time. Catherine Mary Stewart is good as the sensible half of the lead duo. The underrated Mary Woronov has a nice supporting role. Its genre blending doesn't always work but it remains interesting enough.

Good B-flick that gets the female characters right. It's a campy time.
