Knockaround Guys is an entertaining movie with a few too many sloppy points. The direction is good and the writing is solid, the real problems however are in the casting. Barry Pepper and especially Vin Diesel were very good in their performances. Tom Noonan and Dennis Hopper were good as well. But John Malkovich's brooklyn accent is terrible and ruins his character. Seth Green is greatly miscast, he's out of place in every scene and seems to be in another movie entirely. The film starts off good then often drifts, but the final nail in the coffin is the predictable ending that you could see coming a mile away.
