THIS MOVIE IS POSSIBLY ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES OF THE 80'S.I MEAN U WATCH IT ONCE AND THEN U CANT STOP WATCHING IT.NOW IT TAKES PLACE IN CALIFORNIA OR SOMETHING WHEN DANELLE LARUSSO MOVES IN TO THE TOWN WITH HIS MOTHER AND FIRST HAS A VERY BAD START WITH SOME BULLYS AND THEN RUNS ITO A SPECIAL MENTOR I RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE TO ANYONE REALLY I GIVE THE KARATE KID A 5 OUT OF 5

You don't need big names and special effects to make a memorable film. Karate Kid is simple, well done and a gem of the 80s. It has a great message and it's still a great family film.

A great family movie that can be appreciated by every 80's kid. To be honest, it is a good movie that should not be overlooked due to the sequels. I recommended it for the performance by Mr. Miyagi and the way that he teaches Daniel Karate.
