here's the thing,this movie is really funny and it has one of the funniest cast i have ever seen in a comedy film.you have amy smart,come on she's great! ryan reynolds,the guy does great movies! and the best of all,chris klien,who we all know him as "oz" in the first two american pie films.not to mention anna faris is in this film,she could get annoying,but it's the only kind of roles she ever does.the movie could have been better,I could easily nit pick everything i hated about this movie,but one things for sure,the movie is funny,it defenitely has loveable characters.even the villian in this film is at times is loveable,but that is my opinion.the script is not amazing or even great,but it's fun.to me,this is the kind of film to put on during the holiday season and switch your brain off …

Chris Brander (Ryan Reynolds) used to be a huge geeky kid who hangs with his best friend Jamie Palamino (Amy Smart). After 10 years have passed, Chris becomes a popular well known Producer who dates models while Jamie works as a bartender in a bar. Their batch mate Dusty Dinkleman (Chris Klein) tries to impress Jamie based on his malicious thoughts discovered by Chris. Chris needs to bring a spoiled restless and horny artist Samantha James (Anna Faris). The script was good and I enjoyed the character of Anna Faris. Unfortunately, there was nothing charming about Amy Smarts character and Reynolds may have a few over reacting parts for his. The bullying of the kids, the so called “accidents” seemed forced and ending felt abrupt. Still, Just friends can be enjoyed by those who …

There were a lot of people that knocked this movie and I can see why... but honestly I liked it, and I thought it was really funny. Ryan Reynolds is one of those guys that likes to take his character and give them a cutesy look all the while he has this smarmy sarcastic go f-yourself personality. Its funny because he can smile at someone and say something very insulting and the way he says it people don't quite know that they have been insulted.
In this he plays Chris Brander, a guy that was best friends with the hottest girl in school, the only problem is that he was really fat and she had locked him in the "Friend Zone" meaning that no matter what he did there was no way he was going to get any closer than best friends.
