"Junebug" fits right behind Noah Baumbach's "The Squid and the Whale" as my favorite comedy about family from the year 2005.

Amy Adams is my absolute favorite actress and I'm so glad I finally saw this film. I really liked it alot, and Adams is absolutely fantastic. She completely deserved her Oscar nomination, and if it weren't for Rachel Weisz's great performance in The Constant Gardener, she would have won Best Supporting Actress. But, her time IS coming so I can live with that! Truly one of the best films of 2005.

Junebug is a beautifully acted and written film, funny and tragic in the right spots and a spot-on portrayal of real life relationships. Amy Adams breaks out and becomes a star before our eyes and Ben McKenzie proves that he's more than an OC soap drama hero.

A strange butterfly flutters down into a strange small town, a sinner comes home, and the camera lingers uncomfortably on it all. A truer Meet the Parents and funnier. Amy Adams is "so f__ing cool."

This movie is basically ?Meet the Focker?s? but for real. In the end I liked it. It was well acted and moved along pretty well. The story has been told a lot, but I think the character development was good. In the end though, I felt like it accomplished nothing.
